First off, somebody got slept on concrete by my dude from Mob Zombie before the show. Respectfully, don't bring that ish around here or you will get slept. The BBS ain't bout that, we come here to give everybody good music, it's a good vibe. SO son, if you the one that got hooked into a 180 degree spin to flat on your back, don't bring that shit back, cuz it will happen again! ha ha that shit was funny. Sleep in Peace homie. Anyway, the BBS again had another successful night celebrating the 3rd year it's been running and showcasing the new alumni all-stars for the 08-09 season. My highlights for the night was the Antonio Tarver vs. Klitschko fight in the beginning, Trinity and JR vs. Dj Duwop. Yes man vs. machine!!! Overall it was a pleasant night so enjoy the show.

My boy Logan just bought out a studio and will be filling it up with thousands of thousands of thousands of pixels worth of equipment. My new recording home, most likely where "The Greater Good" will be recorded and mixed with the help of certified Logic Pro Studio engineers. Im pretty excited. ONE MORE WEEK!!!
The mixtape is finished. I sent it out to a few exclusive members who can hopefully spread word in a leak form of fashion. Ha ha, whatever. Anyway, I finished the artwork early this morning at 5am PT. It had to be in at 8am ET or else i wouldn't have been able to get the pressed CD's on time!! Jansport J x The Carry On Experience x Mixtape Review
Jansport J, out of Los Angeles, California. A true soul collector, meaning that the boy got soul god dammit! So, we have here a producer's mixtape and lately I've been getting a lot of these. As you can see, this is my first review on one, why? Well because the other producer mixtapes I've gotten sound like a 50 cent comeback. Jansport J brings a lot of inspired samples to his records, very soulful. Like hi-tek mixed with 9th wonder. He starts off with a real smooth record almost something like Murs would get on. The next track could have definitely been with another emcee. Most "non-listeners" would have cut the mixtape right there. But it picks up heavy with "Cold Hearted". A real ill record with emcees that bring the definition of substance to the record without being soft on the track. "Tales From The Hood" is real artistic i could see the picture being painted but the hook could have been a lil' more catchy. "The Choice is Yours" is my joint, nuff said. Jansport J really gives you a good vibe with this one. I would definitely rock with this in the car or ipod or both. A soulful classic. One thing i could tell J, add more breaks to your beats, sometimes they get a little repetitive but the chop of the samples were good. Switch the tempos up a lil, keep us on the edge. This tape is definitely an add to the collection. This is what we need LA!!! The man needs more collabos. Get at him after the jump!!!

Nique x D.O.P.E. pt 2 x Mixtape Review
Emcees now a days are extremely hard to find. A lot of them just put a few corny punchlines down and call it rap. Not bringing any substance to the table by any means. That changes when you listen to Nique, bringing you his forms and ideas out of Henderson, NV. His 2nd installment of D.O.P.E. brings you 10 tracks. Personally, i think he shouldof took a little more time and gave us more than 10 but when you want to drop it on your birthday. You do what you can. He starts off with a heavy "dipset" type of record for the intro with really quick wordplay. Almost witty. Really heavy on the heatmakers drum patters. If you were looking for a soulful return, do not take the record out of the cd player just yet, this is just the intro ladies and gentleman. Then he takes you directly to "That Purple", which quickly shifts to that new age 90's Cool Kids heavy bass and drum snap record if you will. Using lines like "I gotta sick flo, you think that your hip no/ ill leave you bluer than a bottle of some hypno//" . You can tell he is definitely inspired by Mickey Facts, Cool Kids, U-N-I, etc. using the 808 drum and timbaland and a lot of lower pitch changes. He does bring you a few soulful cuts with "MBK" & "When I See Her". Also, bringing genius features with Jay Starr (look out for her), Niff and myself. I say this mixtape is definitely an add to the collection. And like he speaks upon in the last track "Hear Me Out", like he said hear him out. His link after the jump. $2

Cool cool cool night. Murs came through in a limo and had nobody wit him but his moms!!! Some real genuine shit, came through the front not the back. Everybody was outside so he was like ..."what yall doin' outside, lets go in." Dude is as down to earth as you would want any of your favorite performer to be. Put on a a really chill show with "Dj Ipod". Yessir, my man ran his whole show with his ipod. shout out to Steve Jobs for makin' such a useful tool. After the performance there was about 100-150 in attendance and my man Murs stayed and hit everybody up to the last person. Towards the middle i get a txt from my boy Bryan, owner of Clarity Clothing, he was like yo theres a cipher outside. So i went out like usual and promoted and tore up the cipher. You can see glimpses of Murs show and my cipher/interview on VegasWorldTV. Anyway if you still havent peeped it, go pick up his latest album "Murs For President". Hot Hot Hot Hot Hot Joint!!!
